Het Aardehuis

Het Aardehuis is a small-scale daycare center located on the grounds of Stadsboerderij Caetshage in Culemborg. We provide care for a maximum of 5 children in a sheltered and warm environment. Our building is constructed from straw and clay, situated in a green oasis where children have space to grow and develop. At Het Aardehuis, we work from an anthroposophical view of human development. We believe in the importance of rhythm, rest, and regularity for young children. Our pedagogical approach focuses on caring for the physical body and providing ample movement space where all senses are stimulated. We observe that children find their place with us in peace and with full confidence. Our days are filled with singing, playing, and delicious food. We serve daily homemade soup and other organic meals, fresh from the land. Children have all the space to play and learn in and around our special little house. The natural environment of the city farm offers plenty of opportunities for discovery and wonder. Our team consists of experienced pedagogical staff who give each child the individual attention they deserve. We work in small groups, allowing us to truly connect with each child and follow their development in a personalized way.
