Hero Peuteropvang Obistraat

Hero Peuteropvang Obistraat is a small-scale daycare centre located at Obistraat 97 in Haarlem-Noord. We are part of Stichting Hero kindercentra, a non-profit organisation that has been providing high-quality childcare in Haarlem and surrounding areas for over 20 years. This location is dedicated exclusively to toddlers aged 2 to 4 years, with a maximum capacity of 16 children per day, ensuring personal attention for every child. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the toddlers using the VVE programme Uk en Puk. This recognised early childhood education programme stimulates language development, social skills and independence in a playful way. We work with themes that connect to the world of toddlers, such as 'Animals', 'Seasons' and 'My Body'. Activities focus on discovery, experimentation and playing together. We use corners and materials that invite role-play, building, crafting and reading aloud. The groups are horizontally structured, meaning children of the same age are together in one group. This provides calm and familiarity. We offer both half-day and full-day care, from 7:30 AM to 6:30 PM. There is always plenty of opportunity for outdoor play; we have a safe, green playground that we share with the after-school care located in the same building. Parents experience our location as homely, involved and professional. Together with parents, we ensure that every child can develop optimally. We are open to questions, wishes and ideas.
