Hero Peuteropvang Nagtzaamstraat

Located inside the Franciscus Xaveriusschool on Nagtzaamstraat, our Hero toddler day-care offers a bright and fresh classroom right next to the kindergarten classes in a charming building in the heart of the Amsterdam neighbourhood. Our mission is to embark on a daily adventure with the children, guiding each child toward the best version of themselves. Our core values—Adventure, Fun, Learning and Attention—steer our policies and daily practice. The challenging outdoor area links our group with the Hero toddler day-care around the corner on Nagtzaamplein, which is housed in the Broederhuis community centre. Children from both groups regularly play outside together. When the weather is poor we can occasionally use the school gym. Our team works closely with the school’s teachers, ensuring that when children turn four they make a smooth transition into the kindergarten class. Some of them still come back often to play, because in the afternoons Hero after-school care Nagtzaamstraat uses our classroom.
