Hero Peuteropvang Nagtzaamplein

Welcome to Hero Toddler Care Nagtzaamplein, located in the homely neighbourhood centre Broederhuis at Nagtzaamplein 67 in Haarlem. We provide toddler care for up to 16 children aged 2 to 4 years. Our room opens directly onto a challenging outdoor area that we share with toddler care Nagtzaamstraat. Together with our little heroes we embark on a daily adventure towards becoming the best version of themselves. During free play, children can follow their own path in our various play corners: drawing on the blackboard, racing toy cars, reading a book on the sofa or setting up the dollhouse. We pay special attention to language development, especially for children for whom Dutch is a second language. We repeat words often during activities such as crafts and puzzles, and practise letters and colours in a playful way. The booklet ‘Peuterpraatjes’ is taken home so parents can practise with their child. Our team works closely with the teachers of the adjacent school. This ensures a smooth transition to kindergarten when children turn four. Even after the transition, many children still come to play regularly, as the after-school care uses our room in the afternoons.
