Welcome to Hero Peuteropvang Kanariestraat, a warm and secure place in the heart of Haarlem where children aged 2 to 4 discover who they are and who they can become through play. We are part of Stichting Hero kindercentra, a non-profit organisation that believes every child deserves a good start, regardless of background. Our location at Kanariestraat 56 offers space for up to 16 toddlers in an intimate, homely setting. Everything we do revolves around the adventure of the young child. We provide flexible day-care on weekdays: you can choose half or full days, whatever suits your family best. Our team of qualified pedagogical staff follow Hero’s philosophy: we see children as little explorers who, with our guidance, learn to understand the world around them. Play is our most important tool. By building, imagining, singing and moving, toddlers not only develop language and motor skills, but also self-confidence and social abilities. Hero Peuteropvang Kanariestraat actively cooperates with schools and youth health care to prepare children for primary school. We therefore offer pre-school education (VVE), focused on language development and social skills. Activities are tailored to the world of toddlers: we read aloud, sing songs, do arts and crafts with various materials and go outside regularly. Our space is safely and invitingly arranged so that children can move freely and choose what they want to play with. Parents are always welcome. We believe it is important that you feel involved in your child’s development. We keep you informed on a regular basis and are always open to questions or ideas. Together we ensure that your child enjoys coming to the toddler day-care and returns home with a big smile.
