Hero Peuteropvang Generaal Spoorlaan

Welcome to Hero Peuteropvang Generaal Spoorlaan, located in a charming former school building in Haarlem-Noord. We provide morning care for up to 16 toddlers aged 2 to 4, every weekday from 8:15 AM to 12:15 PM. Our bright, spacious classroom invites children to explore, play and grow. Mornings usually begin with free play, followed by shared fruit and story time. The large outdoor playground is a favourite spot for climbing, running and discovery. On rainy days we simply move the adventure indoors: soft blocks appear for climbing and sliding, we practise somersaults on the mat or dance to music. The parachute game—everyone holding the handles and tossing a ball through the centre—never fails to delight. Many families in the neighbourhood have diverse backgrounds, so we place special emphasis on language development. We repeat words during crafts, puzzles and colouring activities, and use the booklet ‘Peuterpraatjes’, which children take home to practise with their parents. In this playful way toddlers quickly expand their vocabulary and make a confident start toward primary school. Our site has been officially registered since 3 September 2012 under LRK number 469048840. We are part of Stichting Hero kindercentra, a non-profit organisation that reinvests all earnings into quality and innovation. The same building also houses our after-school care, so children who continue on already know the staff and surroundings. This creates a warm, close-knit community where parents recognise one another and children feel safe and at home.
