Hero Kinderdagverblijf Hoenstraat 7

Welcome to Hero Daycare Hoenstraat 7, located in the friendly Kleverpark neighbourhood of Haarlem. We provide daycare for children aged 0 to 4 years and are part of the Stichting Hero kindercentra foundation. Our location can accommodate 62 children and has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 1 January 2010. Our generous 700 m² outdoor area is a true paradise for curious children. Here our little heroes can go on daily adventures in the play house, the covered sandpit or the bike track. For the very youngest we have a special enclosed baby garden, so they too can safely enjoy the fresh air. We love to go outside, even when it’s a bit rainy – we have rain boots in every size! In our vegetable garden the children learn to plant seedlings and watch how vegetables grow. With two large pull-carts we regularly head out; the City Nursery Gardens and Burcht ter Cleeff playground are just around the corner. Inside we operate five groups and use a horizontal group structure. Our toddler groups follow the playful Uk and Puk programme. This thematic programme fits perfectly with toddlers’ world of experience and playfully sparks their curiosity – a wonderful stepping-stone to primary school. We believe it is important for children to feel safe and at home with us. Therefore we not only offer outdoor beds, but also maintain an open-door policy. Our mission is to embark on an adventure every day together with the children on their way to becoming the best version of themselves. Our daycare forms one cluster together with the after-school care (in the same building), in which we work closely together. This allows children from the daycare to get used to the after-school care in a playful way and makes it easy for brothers and sisters to find each other.
