Hero BSO Hagestraat

Hero BSO Hagestraat is located in the monumental Rosenstock-Huessy House at Hagestraat 10B in Haarlem. This small-scale after-school care facility offers a place for up to 30 children aged 4 to 12. Since 1 January 2010, the location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register under number 217278772. As part of Stichting Hero kindercentra – the social childcare organisation of Haarlem and Spaarndam – we believe every child is unique and discovers who they are in their own way. Our dedicated pedagogical staff guide children in small groups, allowing for personal attention and development at each child’s own pace. We collect children from nearby primary schools and provide them with a familiar place after school where they can play, relax and have fun together. The location is within walking distance of the Veronica Jenaplan School and other schools in the Burgwal neighbourhood, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Inside the historic building, a homely atmosphere has been created where children quickly feel at home. We offer a varied range of activities, from arts and crafts and outdoor play to quiet corners for reading or games. During school holidays, we organise an extensive holiday programme with fun outings and extra workshops. At Hero BSO Hagestraat, the joy of development is central.
