Hero BSO Wilgenstraat

Hero BSO Wilgenstraat is located inside primary school De Wilgenhoek at Wilgenstraat 81 in Haarlem-Noord. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. On Mondays, Tuesdays and Thursdays we welcome the pupils of De Wilgenhoek in our group room on the ground floor and in the gym on the first floor. On Wednesdays and Fridays we care for the children at our nearby location at ’t Hoenstraat 3. Adventure is at the heart of everything we do. Our mission is to embark on a daily adventure with the children, guiding each child towards becoming the best version of themselves. Our core values—Adventure, Fun, Learning and Attention—shape our pedagogical approach. We offer a wide range of activities: from movement games and sports challenges in the gym to drama performances and shows. Older children have their own dedicated floor with specially designed spaces and age-appropriate activities. Outside, children can enjoy two adjacent playgrounds. We regularly organise trips to the local playground or the Kweektuinen gardens. Additionally, we run workshops and projects focused on sports and healthy eating. In partnership with De Wilgenhoek, we also provide lunchtime care, ensuring children are in familiar hands during the lunch break. Our team of dedicated pedagogical professionals creates a safe and stimulating environment where every child can thrive. We work closely with the school and know the pupils well, ensuring a smooth transition from school to after-school care.
