Hero BSO Hoenstraat 7

We are Hero BSO 't Hoenstraat 7, located in the Kleverpark neighbourhood of Haarlem. Our after-school care welcomes children aged about 4 to 6 from four primary schools: Zaanenschool (Junoplantsoen site), de Ark, Ter Cleeff and Vrije School Kleverpark. On Wednesdays, care for pupils of Vrije School Kleverpark is only possible with own transport. Inside we have two large group rooms and a play hall. We share a central kitchen where we regularly cook and bake with the children. Outdoors there is plenty of play space on our own playground and the adjacent sports fields. We are members of play-garden Burcht ter Cleeff and the City Nursery Gardens are just around the corner, so we often go on outings. Sports and physical activity are central to our programme. In addition to a sports club we also run a cooking club and a creative club. Every day we organise different activities and workshops. We pick the children up on foot from school and work closely with the day-care centre in the same building and the neighbouring BSO. This way children from the day-care centre can gradually get used to after-school care and brothers and sisters stay close to each other. We believe in the importance of an adventurous and challenging environment in which children can develop into the best version of themselves. Together we go on a new adventure every day!
