Heksenbos

Welcome to BSO Heksenbos, our small-scale after-school care centre located in the green surroundings of Arnhem-Noord. We are based in the H2O school building at Diependalseweg 2, on the grounds of the Heijenoordschool. This location offers space for up to 46 children aged 4 to 13. Our BSO is set in a wooded area and features a huge outdoor space: a large discovery garden where children can romp, explore and play. We use the school garden as well as the nature experience garden we share with Houtveste. This garden includes a cycle path, sandpit, play equipment, a large trampoline and a panna field. Nature is our biggest playground. After school we collect the children from the Heijenoordschool. We work closely with the school to ensure a smooth transition from school to after-school care. Our pedagogical staff are ready to welcome the children with a smile. At Heksenbos we believe that free time should really be free. Children choose for themselves whether to take part in an activity or just chill out. We offer different areas in our space: from quiet reading corners to creative workstations. We also organise regular outings. During holidays there is even more to experience: we go for walks, visit the Caluna playground and make every day a celebration together. We believe in freedom within boundaries and give children a say in how we shape the BSO. Together we learn from each other and inspire each other, making every day a special experience.
