G.J. van Heekstraat

Welcome to Partou BSO GJ van Heekstraat, located at GJ van Heekstraat 19 in Enschede. Our team is ready every afternoon to give children aged 4 to 13 a sporty, safe and challenging time. We are situated right next to the football pitches of Rigtersbleek, so during outdoor play we make full use of the large grass field, the goals and the climbing and scrambling areas. There is also a small adventure forest just around the corner where children can explore, build and go on adventures. Inside we have two spacious base groups: Heek 1 and Heek 2. Each group has a fixed pedagogical employee who knows the child well and ensures a familiar start to the afternoon. The interior is playful and inviting: there are chill corners, craft tables, a kitchenette for creative cooking workshops and plenty of space for movement activities. We follow an open-door policy: when children are ready, they may visit the other group or join in activities there. This stimulates social skills and self-confidence. Our activity programme is varied and tailored to the children’s world. Think of football drills, hockey, dodgeball, but also foot painting, building a marble run, musical chairs and music bingo. During holidays we organise extra fun outings, such as a visit to Kozakkenpark playground, getting ice cream at the parlour or a sports clinic on the field. We pick up children from La Res, De Zonnewijzer, Prinseschool and both sites of ’t Zeggelt. Upon arrival at the BSO there is always fruit and something to drink, and later in the afternoon we serve a healthy cracker. We work closely with the schools within IKC Universum. Teachers and childcare staff exchange information about the child’s development so that we can guide each pupil optimally.
