Welcome to Happy Kids Scherpenzeel, our day-care centre located at Rubenslaan 16 in the heart of Scherpenzeel. We provide care for 64 children aged 0–4 in a homely, safe environment built on trust, joy and conscious choices. Our permanent team of experienced, qualified pedagogical staff have worked together for years, creating a warm nest where every child can simply be themselves. Everything we do revolves around learning through play. We tailor activities precisely to your child’s age and developmental stage: intensive one-to-one interaction for the youngest and challenging toddler-plus activities for the older ones. We use horizontal groups so children play with peers while still enjoying the calm and routine they need. Every day we serve fresh fruit and vegetables, apply Dr. Jetske Ultee sunscreen for sensitive young skin and run the Nijntje Moves programme to stimulate motor skills. Outdoor play is a given; our large garden offers plenty of space to run, climb and explore. We also offer the pre-school education programme (VVE). Children with a VVE indication receive extra guidance in dedicated toddler groups, with mornings reserved for focused development of language, numeracy and social skills. All pedagogical staff are trained annually in first aid and regularly attend refresher courses on topics such as language stimulation and social-emotional development. Flexibility matters to us: generous opening hours from 7:30 a.m. to 6:30 p.m., 52 weeks a year, and the option to swap days or make up a sick day.
