HannesHoeve is an after-school care farm located in the polder on the edge of Giessenburg. We provide children aged 4 to 12 with a unique place to play, discover and grow in a natural environment after school. Our location at Slingelandseweg 17D offers plenty of space around the farm, where children are free to run, climb and romp in the fresh air. At HannesHoeve, children get to know farm life. They help care for our animals: donkeys, sheep, goats, chickens, rabbits and ponies. Feeding the chickens, cuddling the rabbits or helping to groom the ponies – these are all special moments that contribute to a warm bond between child and animal. We also work together in our vegetable garden, where children learn about vegetables, herbs and the importance of sustainability. Our mission is clear: to educate and entertain children in a relaxed and affordable way. We want to give children the time of their lives in nature. We do this by letting them play actively, push their own boundaries and stimulate them with new discoveries. We believe that playing outdoors is not only fun, but also contributes to the development of skills and environmental awareness. HannesHoeve has been registered as a childcare organization in the National Childcare Register since 1 October 2010 under number 185017630. We provide care for up to 33 children. During school weeks we are open Monday to Friday from 14:45 to 18:30. In the holidays and on school-free days we are open all day, except for Wednesdays in the holidays and the Christmas holidays. In the Christmas holidays we are only open if there are enough registrations. We work together with various primary schools in the region and pick up children from school. Our pedagogical staff are ready to provide children with a safe, challenging and enjoyable time. Put on your boots and play along until you turn green!
