Hakim

Kinderdagverblijf Hakim is located in the centre of Diemen and is part of the ‘Brede School De Meridiaan’ campus. We provide day-care for up to 46 children each day, divided into two baby groups (0-2 years) and two toddler groups (2-4 years). Our rooms are bright and cheerful, yet we prefer to be outside in our spacious garden that features a vegetable patch, sandpit and a dedicated baby area. The building and outdoor space offer the perfect mix of exploration and calm. At Hakim we follow the ‘Taallijn’ programme, which focuses on young children’s language development. This is a form of pre- and early-school education (VVE) that also pays attention to social-emotional and motor development. Language is woven into every moment of the day: during outdoor play, nappy changes, story time, singing, greeting and saying goodbye. Parents are actively involved in the themes we work on. We have been welcoming children since 1991 and cooperate closely with primary school De Nieuwe Kring, playgroup Het Speelhuis and after-school care BSO Popeye within the Brede School. Activities include reading mornings where school children read to our toddlers, and music and gym sessions in the school gym for our older toddlers. Our professional pedagogical staff provide a safe, warm and home-like environment where every child feels welcome and free to be themselves.
