Welcome to the 3.5+ group location Stegeman Bijdehand, part of SWW Kinderopvang B.V. Our toddler plus group is located in primary school Stegeman at Pronsweg 5 in Winterswijk and provides care for up to 16 children aged 3/3.5 to 4 years. We are open 52 weeks a year from 07:00 to 19:00 and also offer half-day care options. In our toddler plus group, we focus on children who are ready for more challenge and are almost ready for the big step to primary school. We emphasize developing independence: children learn to spread their own bread, put on their jacket, and use the toilet by themselves. Together we make agreements and discuss our house rules. The environment is richly designed with play corners that invite cooperative play. Role play and fantasy play are central, through which children learn to understand the real world. Our pedagogical staff pay great attention to the social development of toddlers. Behavior of other children is regularly copied and we help children recognize their emotions and deal with them. It's truly special to see how children who once entered our care as babies are now growing into independent children who can do so much on their own.
