Groenendaal

Kinderdagverblijf Groenendaal is a KindeRdam daycare centre housed in a charming building at Groenendaal 3, Krimpen aan den IJssel. We welcome children from 0 to 4 years in five vertical groups and one dedicated 3+ group, allowing brothers, sisters and friends of different ages to play and learn together. Our programme includes Early Childhood Education (VVE) using the ‘Uk en Puk’ curriculum, gently preparing every child for primary school through play. Inside, the centre feels warm and homely with spacious play corners and bright rooms. When we have explored every inch indoors, we head outside. Our large front and back gardens are true discovery zones: children investigate plants, flowers and insects in every season, sowing seeds and watching them grow. We are proud to carry the ‘Groen Cement’ quality mark awarded by the Green Cement Foundation for our continuous focus on nature experience and outdoor play. A special feature of our week is the contact with Crimpenersteyn Care Centre. Children visit the grandmas and grandpas or welcome them into our groups for singing, crafting and reading together—moments treasured by young and old alike. Groenendaal is centrally located in Krimpen aan den IJssel, within walking distance of Het Kompas, OBS Kortland and Het Octaaf primary schools. Free parking is available and buses 97, 98 and 196 stop nearby. Opening hours are Monday to Friday 07:00–18:30, all year round. Please note: half-day care is not available on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday. Parental involvement is important to us. We keep families informed through our parent committee and encourage active participation in discussions about quality, policy and opening times. Together we create a safe, familiar place where children can be themselves and discover the world around them.
