BSO De Klimmers

Welcome to BSO De Klimmers, located at Bongerd 8 in Capelle aan den IJssel. As part of Gro-up childcare, we provide after-school care for up to 22 children aged 4 to 12. We work closely with primary schools De Triangel, De Klim-Op and De Groen van Prinsterer, collecting children on foot, by cargo bike or with our Gro-up minibus. During term time we are open from 13:30 to 18:30; parents with a before-school contract can drop off from 07:00. In school holidays and on study days we offer extended hours (07:30–18:30) so children can play, explore and develop all day long. We provide a healthy, safe and opportunity-rich environment in which every child can discover their own talents. Our pedagogical staff receive regular coaching from a pedagogical coach and, when needed, from a specialist coach. This keeps quality high and enables us to guide children who need extra support. We work with fixed groups and every child has a mentor; when extra care is required we always try to place the child in their own group first. Parents stay informed through our parent app with diary, photos and messages about wellbeing and activities. We also organise an annual parents’ evening and summer party to strengthen the bond between parents, children and our team. Together we create a place where children love to come.
