Het Gruttonest

At after-school care Het Gruttonest in Moordrecht, children aged 4 to 12 experience something new every single day. We are located in the same building as the day-care centre and the toddler care, so the transition feels familiar and safe. With 57 after-school places spread across nine groups, there is always a spot where your child feels at home. We work together with three primary schools in the area. In the morning we take the children from our before-school care (VSO) to school, and in the afternoon we pick them up again—sometimes on foot, sometimes with our minibus. No two days are the same. One afternoon we organise sports and games, another time we come up with creative craft activities or go exploring in our own green garden. That garden offers plenty of space for adventurous outdoor play and stimulates curiosity and creativity. During the school holidays we are open all day and turn it into a real party. We go on exciting trips, for example to the dinosaur park or Blijdorp Zoo. Our tough boys, girls, teachers and supervisors have even held a snake! We believe every child is unique and that it makes all the difference to look at each child, each day, to see what is needed. This way children get the very best out of themselves. Our team consists of enthusiastic childcare professionals who work with heart and care. We are a close-knit team that not only has fun with the children, but also with each other.
