Zandkasteel

Welcome to BSO Het Zandkasteel, part of the child centre Het Zandkasteel in Vleuten. We provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 13 in a homely and stimulating environment. Together with KIDSclub Het Zandkasteel, daycare Het Zandkasteel and toddler care Het Zandkasteel, we form one integrated centre offering activities tailored to your child’s age and interests. Our location is temporarily housed at Landschapsbaan 250 in Vleuten while our permanent site at Teunisbloemlaan 44 is being renovated. After the renovation, scheduled to be completed by June 2026 at the latest, we will return to our familiar location. We operate according to the principles of the Peaceful Neighbourhood. Children learn how to resolve conflicts constructively, have a voice in the organisation and participate in a children’s council. In this way they learn to interact with others in a positive and caring manner and to feel connected to the community. Our activity programme is broad and varied. Throughout the year children can take part in our Fit & Fun programme, where they can engage in sports, dance, painting or making music, discovering where their talents lie. During the holidays we organise themed activities such as cooking, sports and games, always linked to an exciting story. Themes such as ‘Living like a celebrity’ or ‘Technology’ are examples. We also regularly make trips to museums or the market. We work together with Broad School Weide Wereld and collect children from OBS Vleuterweide and Jenaplanschool de Zonnewereld. These schools are located in the same building or within walking distance of our location. At BSO Het Zandkasteel we work with different age groups. Children aged 4 to 8 have their own spaces on the ground floor, while children aged 8 and over have their own area on the first floor. For children aged 9 and over we offer KIDSclub Het Zandkasteel, where the focus is on greater independence and challenge.
