BSO Schateiland

Welcome to BSO Schateiland in Klaaswaal! We are a cozy after-school care facility located in Het Schateiland school at Berkenlaan 16. Our BSO provides care for up to 17 children aged 4 to 12 years, divided across two classrooms. We work according to the 'Pedagogisch Actief!' (Pedagogically Active!) method, which helps our pedagogical staff structure the day in a safe and consistent manner. This approach ensures clarity and uniformity, based on positive interaction and creating opportunities for all children. Our pedagogical staff pick up children after school, either by walking from school or using transportation means available to our BSO. Children from the higher grades of Het Schateiland are allowed to come to the BSO independently. We offer a varied program with special attention to sports and movement. Our BSO features a special 'Sports and Movement' group that parents can enroll their children in. Various sports are offered and workshops are provided in the field of sports and exercise. Moving around after a long school day is something our children truly enjoy! When weather permits, children play outside on the familiar school playground. During rain or bad weather, there is the option to play indoors or use the small gymnasium of the school. During school holidays, we organize various fun activities and excursions, always tailored to the children's ages. Our opening hours are from 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM, with the possibility of extended care until 6:30 PM upon request. We work closely with the teachers and management of Het Schateiland primary school, ensuring a smooth transition between school and after-school care.
