BSO Het Eendennest

Welcome to after-school care (BSO) Het Eendennest in Zoetermeer Dorp, the place where children aged 4 to 8 happily end their school day. Our care centre is conveniently located in the same building as primary schools Vijverburgh and Paulusschool, so children can simply walk through the corridor to reach us. This makes life easier and encourages their independence. At BSO Het Eendennest everything revolves around play, discovery and fun. Our two spacious classrooms open directly onto the kindergarten playground at the rear of the building. They are set up with different play corners where your child can enjoy crafts, construction and reading to their heart’s content. The kindergarten playground and the renovated schoolyard at the front offer plenty of opportunities for outdoor activities. With your permission, your child can play here independently, which is great for their self-confidence and social skills. When the children arrive, they hang up their coat and bag and can start playing right away. There is a craft table, a corner for board games and a cosy sofa for reading a book or simply doing nothing for a while. Play materials are easily accessible so that even the younger children can choose for themselves what they want to do. The small scale of our BSO creates a familiar and safe environment in which every child quickly feels at home. We are delighted to have access to the indoor gym. Here we offer a wide range of sports and games activities, from ball games to gymnastics exercises, ensuring there is something fun for every child. On Wednesdays and Fridays we even welcome children from three different BSO locations, so the ages range from 4 to 12. This creates a dynamic and diverse play environment where children of different ages can learn from and with each other. Our activity programme is perfectly tailored to the children’s world of experience. We listen to their wishes and regularly organise challenging and creative activities, both indoors and outdoors. During the school holidays we plan extra fun and adventurous activities, sometimes even outside the BSO. We always inform you as a parent well in advance about the holiday programme, so you know what is coming up and your child can look forward to it. In addition to on-site activities, we also make use of the facilities of the korfball club De Meervogels, within walking distance of our BSO. Here we have plenty of space for larger sports activities, ideal for children who enjoy being active.
