BSO Opaal

Welcome to BSO Opaal, located on the playground of Openbare Montessorischool De Mare at Grift 42 in Rotterdam. As part of gro-up childcare, we provide after-school care for children aged 4 to 12 in a familiar and safe environment. Our motto is “Help me to do it myself,” inspired by the educational philosophy of Maria Montessori. We work with vertical groups where children of different ages play, learn and discover together. This not only supports their social development but also allows for individual growth. Our location consists of a spacious portocabin on the school playground, equipped with various play corners and materials. Children can choose from free play, creative activities, sports and games, or join one of the many workshops we organize. We also offer before-school care on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 07:30 to 08:30. We work closely with De Mare primary school, so children can go directly and safely to the after-school care after classes. We also collaborate with peuteropvang Sterresteen, allowing children to follow a continuous and familiar childcare path. During school holidays, we organize a special holiday program with themes such as “I can do it myself.” Think of trips to Madurodam, the beach, or a sports day with children from other gro-up locations. We believe it is important that children not only have fun but also learn and discover new things. Everything is done in consultation with parents, through our parent app and parent portal, so you are always informed about what your child is experiencing.
