BSO Kuikennest

BSO Het Kuikennest is located in the green, child-friendly Ypenburg district of The Hague, right next to primary school De Notenkraker and the lower grades of De Paradijsvogel. We provide after-school care for up to 38 children aged 4 to 12. The location is easily accessible: the tram stop is at the door, bus and train stations are within walking distance, and parking is free. We work closely with nearby schools. Our pedagogical staff align themes and activities with teachers and keep parents fully informed through the parent app and 10-minute consultation sessions. Every day we offer a wide range of challenging activities. In front of our building there is a large schoolyard where we organise football, basketball and other sports and games. Indoors we have two large rooms with construction corners, a table-tennis table, a reading corner and creative workspaces. We regularly cook together; children discover new flavours while we promote healthy eating with daily fresh fruit and vegetables. During holidays and special weeks such as Children’s Book Week, Reading Aloud Week, Mud Day and Outdoor Play Day, we collaborate with other BSOs in Nootdorp and Ypenburg. This allows us to offer joint sports tournaments, creative workshops and extensive holiday programmes that further develop each child’s talents.
