Het Kraaiennest

Welcome to BSO Het Kraaiennest, located in the attic of a beautifully renovated church building at Woerdlaan 14 in De Meern. As part of childcare center Het Piratenschip, we work together with daycare Het Piratenschip to provide care for children from 0 to 13 years. At Het Kraaiennest, we specifically focus on children aged 4 to 12 years. Our open and transparent attic is simultaneously cozy and atmospheric, with various corners where children can retreat. Children can cook in the kitchen, play table football, hockey, dance on the stage, or play in the doll and construction corners. For the youngest children, we have a separate room where they can play with peers. The 8+ space is specially designed for older children, where we organize the most fun and exciting activities that are truly suitable for this age group. At Het Kraaiennest, we believe that outdoor play is possible every day. We make daily use of our garden with a large climbing frame shaped like a pirate ship, or we take trips to the surrounding area. During school holidays, we organize thematic activities such as cooking, sports and games, always connected to an exciting story. Think of themes like 'Living like a celebrity', 'Around the world with teQ' or 'Technology'. Under the guidance of our pedagogical staff, children visit museums, make special trips, or go shopping at the market. We collaborate with primary school Drie Koningenschool. Our pedagogical staff pick up children by foot or bicycle from both locations. We also provide care during study days and holidays. Together we create a challenging environment where children can play with challenges, precisely tailored to their age and interests.
