De Vuurvlinder

BSO De Vuurvlinder is part of the gro-up network and has been located in primary school De Klipper at Gouden Uillaan 32, Berkel en Rodenrijs, since 2015. We provide after-school care for up to 150 children aged 4 to 12. Our site is situated in a modern residential area, easily reached by Randstadrail and with ample parking right outside. We regard the time children spend with us as real leisure. After a day at school each child decides what to do: quietly read in our relaxation room one day, or run off energy with friends on the natural playground or in the indoor gym the next. Every day we organise sports activities, and on Monday, Tuesday and Thursday we run creative workshops. During every holiday we work around an exciting theme with matching activities and excursions. Children are invited to help plan the programme; together we decide what we will do. Our pedagogical staff truly know every child. They understand who needs a quiet moment and who is looking for an extra challenge. We track development with KIJK! and regularly discuss progress with parents. We also cooperate intensively with De Klipper primary school, creating one continuous development line for children from 2 to 13 years.
