Buitenschoolse opvang de Blokkendoos

Welcome to Buitenschoolse opvang De Blokkendoos, a welcoming after-school care location run by gro-up at Zuidendijk 363A in Dordrecht. Our open, homely building sits right next to a spacious park, giving children aged 4 to 13 the chance to play outdoors every afternoon. Inside, the space is divided into playful corners: two low couches invite children to read together or simply unwind after school. A large play hall offers room for movement games and creative projects, while tables are perfect for crafts or board games. Wooden details create a warm, home-like atmosphere. Whenever the weather allows, we head outside. Our own yard features a large wooden climbing frame, a football pitch and space to cycle. Through a gated fence we step straight into the neighbouring park, where we build dens, hunt for nature treasures or just run through the grass. During holidays, children from BSO Dolfijn and Villa Speelmaatjes join us here for extra adventures. We work closely with primary schools De Parkwijck and De Albatros, housed in the same building. These short lines with teachers let us link up with school themes and make the transition from school to after-school care seamless. Our pedagogical staff are ready to greet the children with a smile and give them a safe, stimulating afternoon.
