Goudwinde

Day-care centre Goudwinde is located in the ‘Voorzieningenhart De Ster’ community hub in Lent. From Monday to Friday we welcome children aged 0 to 4 in a homely and secure setting. Because all basic facilities for children aged 0–12 are housed under one roof, cooperation and coordination between the different professionals run smoothly and we know each other almost by heart. Indoors we use spacious, bright classrooms and the central hall. Children play in the home corner, take part in movement games in the corridor or relax in a cosy corner with soft cushions. The rooms are arranged to invite exploration, play and development. We work with horizontal groups, so activities and materials are perfectly suited to your child’s age and developmental stage. Outside we have a large, fenced garden that is safe for every age. The garden is green and shady, with a sandpit, a hill with a slide and plenty of space to run and ride bikes. When the weather allows, we spend time outdoors both in the morning and in the afternoon. We believe it is important for children to move a lot and discover nature. Goudwinde offers Early Childhood Education (ECE). Our pedagogical staff use playful activities that match each child’s level and interests. We focus on language, social skills, motor skills and numeracy so that your child starts primary school well prepared. For the youngest children we provide a calm, familiar environment with consistent caregivers, where bottle feeding, naps and cuddles are central. We work closely with Het Talent primary school, located in the same building. This partnership ensures a smooth transition from day-care to school. Parents receive an information folder from us to make the transition even easier. Your child is given the space to develop at his or her own pace in an environment that is warm, safe and stimulating.
