Goudwinde Jo Eversstraat

Welcome to after-school care Goudwinde Jo Eversstraat, affectionately called ‘the JES’ by us. We are located in the cosy clubhouse of the Lent draughts club, right between the football pitches and tennis courts. Only children aged 9 and older who attend Het Talent primary school are welcome here. Most children walk to us on their own after school. At the JES children are free to make their own choices. We offer a comfortable indoor space where they can do arts and crafts, play games or simply relax. Outside we have our own garden with a table-tennis table and basketball hoop. We can even light a small campfire when we want to. Children are also allowed to use the football fields of DVOL and build huts in the scrubland around our building. Every afternoon we share tea together. This is our moment to come together, have nice conversations and hear what is on the children’s minds. We actively involve the children in putting together our activity programme so that it matches their wishes and ideas. During school holidays the children go to our other location on Queenstraat, where a full programme of sports tournaments, dance workshops and creative activities awaits.
