Gespecialiseerde Kinderopvang Petrus Donders is an integral part of Kindcentrum SBO Petrus Donders, located at De Stroom 15 in Gemert. We provide specialised day-care with small-group guidance for children aged 0 to 4 who need a little extra care and structure within a safe, low-stimulus environment. Our experienced team of pedagogical professionals works closely with the special primary school and internal support staff, ensuring a continuous developmental pathway from the very first years of life. Everything we do is aimed at reinforcing each child’s possibilities. We tailor activities to individual needs in the areas of language, cognition, behaviour and social-emotional development. The group has a maximum of eight places, allowing us to work on a small, manageable scale. We follow a predictable daily routine with fixed rituals, rest periods and play-and-learn moments. Indoors we have a separate sleeping room, a child-friendly sanitary area and a secure indoor and outdoor play space. The outdoor area is fully enclosed and offers plenty of room to move, explore and play. Our pedagogical approach is based on the principles of transactional analysis and on strengthening the child’s own resilience. Each child is assigned to a fixed base group and a dedicated pedagogical professional as a trusted caregiver. We maintain regular consultation with parents, the school and any external partners such as youth consultants or speech therapists. Together we create a safe and nurturing environment in which every child can develop optimally.
