Welcome to Freekids Peuterspelen Et Buut, part of the Integral Child Centre (IKC) located at Anna de Waalstraat 19 in Zaandam. We provide toddler care for children aged 2 to 4 years in a safe, familiar environment that is fully tailored to the developmental needs of young children. Our premises are housed in the same building as primary school Et Buut, ensuring a smooth transition into primary education. Peuterspelen is open 40 weeks a year, Monday to Friday from 8:30 a.m. to 12:30 p.m. We operate one horizontal group with a maximum of 32 children. Our daily routine is built around learning through play. Activities are designed to stimulate social, emotional and language development—think crafts, story time, singing, building and exploring in our own garden. We use a fenced-off section of the schoolyard equipped with an outdoor kitchen, tricycles, scooters and other age-appropriate play materials. Our pedagogical approach focuses on building children’s self-confidence and preparing them for primary school. Each child is assigned a dedicated mentor, ensuring a familiar caregiver and a single point of contact for parents. We also offer Early Childhood Education (VVE) for children with language delays; currently one child with a VVE indication is enrolled. Additional language-stimulating materials are available and our pedagogical coach regularly supports the team. Parents are actively involved: a weekly stay-and-play session allows you to play with your child and ask questions. Communication runs through the parent portal Kindplanner, where you receive photos and messages and can request extra days.
