Freekids BSO Et Buut

Welcome to Freekids IKC Et Buut, our after-school care located at Anna de Waalstraat 19 in Zaandam. As part of the Integral Child Center Et Buut, we provide childcare for children aged 4 to 13 years in a familiar and safe environment. Our BSO is housed in the same building as primary school Et Buut, allowing children to transition directly to after-school care in a familiar setting. Our after-school care features multiple spaces that children can freely use. The BSO room, the learning plaza upstairs, the creative classroom, and the school auditorium are all available to every child. These spaces are designed for both free play and organized activities. We offer a varied activity program where children can choose which activities they want to participate in, including arts and crafts, dancing, outdoor play, and other creative activities. Our pedagogical professionals ensure a good balance between indoor and outdoor play. We utilize the school playground of primary school Et Buut, which is equipped with plenty of play materials such as balls, stilts, scooters, and cones. During outdoor play, we encourage children to be active and develop their motor skills. For younger children (4-5 years), we provide extra supervision when playing with older children to ensure they don't take unnecessary risks. If needed, separate spaces are reserved for this age group. Our care operates with fixed base groups where each child is assigned a mentor. This mentor serves as the primary contact point for parents and children. We communicate through the Kindplanner system, where parents can find information about their child and where we send at least one daily message with photos about the children's experiences. We offer before-school care from 7:00 to 8:30 AM and after-school care on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday, and Friday from 2:30 to 6:30 PM. On Wednesday, after-school care starts at 12:30 PM due to early school closure. During school holidays and study days, we provide holiday care from 7:00 AM to 6:30 PM with an extensive activity program organized by our activities committee. During care hours, we provide healthy snacks such as fruit, vegetables, crackers, and yogurt. Children can always get drinks themselves when they feel the need. We value a safe and familiar environment where children can develop at their own pace and have the freedom to choose their activities.
