Fonkeling

Welcome to KDV Fonkeling, located in the heart of the Piekenhoef district in Berghem. We are part of AVEM childcare and share a modern building with primary school De Fonkeling. Children aged 0-4 can grow up in one trusted place, often progressing from baby to toddler and later to schoolchild. KDV Fonkeling uses a horizontal group structure. Children play with peers in either a baby or toddler group, ensuring each child receives the stimuli that match his or her developmental stage. From the very first meeting we look together with parents at what a child needs and select the group that fits best. Our location is an official Early Childhood Education (VVE) site. We apply the Piramide programme to stimulate broad development and well-being in every child. Progress is recorded with the KIJK! method, giving parents continuous insight into their child’s milestones. Personal attention is essential: our team offers every baby, infant and toddler a safe, familiar base in which self-confidence can grow. KDV Fonkeling is housed in the same building as primary school De Fonkeling. This unique partnership means children become accustomed to the school environment at an early age and parents can later move smoothly to toddler care, school and after-school care without their child having to get used to a new place.
