Flierefluiters

Welcome to Flierefluiters, our small-scale toddler day-care in the heart of Spijkenisse. We are located inside public primary school De Vogelenzang, right in the Vogelenzang neighbourhood, where your child will feel at home from day one. We work with small groups of toddlers aged 2 to 4. By choosing horizontal groups, children play with peers of the same age. Each morning or afternoon we welcome a maximum of 16 children, so every child receives plenty of personal attention. Our qualified pedagogical staff guide the children with warmth and patience. We follow the VVE programme Startblokken. While playing, we focus on language development and gentle preparation for primary school—reading aloud, singing songs and chatting during play. The room is set up with different corners. In the construction corner children can build castles; in the arts & crafts corner they create beautiful pieces with paint, clay and other materials. Activities are often centred around a theme that matches the toddlers’ world of experience. Outside we have our own secure playground where children can run, cycle and play with sand and water. We go outside every day, even when the weather is less than perfect—fresh air is always welcome. We are open Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday mornings from 8:45 to 11:45, and we also offer a few afternoon groups. We are closed during school holidays and on official public holidays. Nappies are included, so you don’t need to bring them. Feel free to drop by for a tour; we would love to show you around our warm and welcoming toddler day-care.
