Figaro

We are Figaro, an after-school care (BSO) located in the broad school Batter at Middengouw 19 in the heart of Ursem. From our colourful, spacious premises we provide care for children aged 4 to 13. The modern building also houses primary schools De Langereis and De Bavo-school as well as the local library. These close partnerships allow us to use extra facilities such as the library and gymnasiums, so that children can play, discover and relax in a familiar, safe environment straight after school. At Figaro we work with two horizontal age groups: the Panthers (4-7 years) and the Jaguars (7-13 years). This division ensures that activities and play perfectly match each child’s developmental stage. Our pedagogical staff offer warm, structured care with room for both relaxation and challenge. After school, children can unwind with a biscuit and a drink, followed by a varied activity programme: from sports and games in the gym to quiet reading in the library. We believe it is important that children feel free to make choices and thus discover and develop their own interests. Our location has been officially registered in the National Childcare Register since 2 June 2014 under number 167352659 and offers places for up to 44 children. Figaro is part of Stichting Kinderopvang West-Friesland, an organisation with over 40 years of experience in providing professional childcare in the region. We are open from 7.00 a.m. to 6.30 p.m., allowing parents to make flexible use of our before-school (VSO) and after-school care (BSO).
