Fienelien

Fienelien Leidschendam is a small-scale daycare centre founded on anthroposophical and organic principles. Since 1 April 2017 we have been offering loving day-care for up to 16 children aged 0–4 at Venestraat 119 in Leidschendam. We provide a secure, homely environment where your child feels at home. Our vision rests on three pillars: a safe place for both child and parent, natural living and playing, and recognising play as essential to development. Each day we create a rhythmic life with the right balance between activity and rest. The children enjoy a freshly prepared organic warm lunch and regularly help with cooking and baking – on Mondays we bake fresh bread together. Imaginative play is central at Fienelien. Furniture and toys are made mainly from natural materials that stimulate creativity. We go outside every day to experience nature in every season and play safely in our garden. For the youngest we provide bottle-feeding, nappy changes and quiet sleeping areas. All care products we use are ecological and gentle on the skin. Our small scale allows personal attention. Parents experience warm contact with our regular pedagogical staff, who organise a spring and winter festival and a parents’ evening each year. We believe in positive communication and loving guidance, so your child feels safe and has every opportunity to be themselves.
