Fantaziehuis Voorn KDV

Located on the edge of the green Langerak residential area in Utrecht Leidsche Rijn, Fantaziehuis Voorn is a small-scale and cosy daycare centre for children aged 0 to 4. Housed in the modern multifunctional MFA Voorn building, we offer a warm second home where children can play, discover and develop at their own pace. From our green outdoor area children can watch the playground of primary school De Boomgaard, making the eventual transition to primary education a little less daunting. We organise one vertical group (0-4 years), one baby group (0-2 years), one toddler group (2-4 years) and a 1+ group (1-4 years). Every morning our pedagogical staff welcome children and parents personally, taking time to hear about anything special that has happened and aligning the daily rhythm of the youngest with parental wishes. Around nine o’clock we all sit down together for fruit and a drink before starting the activities our staff have prepared. Play, discovery and development are at the heart of our approach. Children build towers with blocks, dress up, do crafts at the table or read books together. We follow current events and work with themes that match the children’s world. At lunchtime we eat sandwiches and sometimes a vegetable snack; older children can help hand out cups. After lunch most children have a nap in our quiet sleeping areas. Later we have another drink and continue playing until mum or dad arrives. A short hand-over from the staff keeps parents fully informed about the day. Our spacious groups and long corridor give plenty of room to play, while the green outdoor space is perfect for exploring nature. Fantaziehuis Voorn is open Monday to Friday from 07:30 to 18:30.
