Fantaziehuis 't Zand BSO

Fantaziehuis ’t Zand BSO is located in the heart of Park Groot Zandveld at Pauwoogvlinder 20, Utrecht. As part of Brede School Het Zand, we share the building with Montessorischool Arcade and openbare basisschool Het Zand, allowing children to move straight from class to after-school care without leaving the premises. We welcome up to 92 children in three age-based groups: two groups for 4–6-year-olds, one group for 6–12-year-olds and another for 7–12-year-olds. This horizontal grouping lets us tailor activities and guidance to each developmental stage. Our large green garden invites children to run freely, play on the spring riders or hide in the hollows, while indoors cosy corners with dolls, a play kitchen and a sturdy construction area await. Our programme is rich and varied: cooking, music lessons, sports and games, arts & crafts, reading and themed projects focused on nature & technology and culture. We follow the children’s interests and talents, ensuring every child can discover new skills. During school holidays and study days we run exciting themed weeks packed with creative and sporty activities, turning every break into a celebration. Doors open at 14.30. After a shared fruit snack and drink we chat about the school day and present the afternoon’s options. Children are free to join in or play independently. At 16.30 we gather again for a drink, then gently wind down until 18.30. Personal handovers to parents complete a day full of stories and adventure.
