Eigen&Wijzer BSO De Vijgenboom

BSO De Vijgenboom is a warm, small-scale after-school care facility operated by Eigen&Wijzer, located in a charming part of the Kruiskerk at Jacob van Wassenaerstraat 1 in Huizen. We provide care for up to 34 children aged 4 to 13. Our location is a stone’s throw from the old village centre and we make full use of the spacious playground of the adjacent PCBS Beatrixschool. Talent development is at the heart of what we do. Every child is encouraged to be themselves and to grow wiser at their own pace. Our pedagogical professionals create a safe, Christian-inspired environment where children are challenged to discover, play and have fun. We organise sporty and creative activities that build self-confidence, resilience and perseverance. During term time we offer care before and after school. In holidays and on study days we run our exciting VakantieZotheid programme packed with outings, sports workshops and challenging activities. We believe every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. Loving care, child-centred practice, nature experience and child participation are the foundations of our approach. BSO De Vijgenboom has a homely, welcoming atmosphere that reflects the Christian values we live by. We invite children to be themselves and provide the space for them to grow within a familiar community.
