BSO de Verwondering

BSO De Verwondering is located at Dahliastraat 27 in the centre of Tiel and is part of RivaKids, an organisation that has been providing childcare in the Rivierenland region for more than 25 years. Our location has been registered in the National Childcare Register since 20 June 2024 and offers places for up to 32 primary-school children aged 4 to 12. We are open during school weeks on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday from 14:45 to 18:00 and on Wednesday from 12:30 to 18:00. Small groups and short lines are central to our approach: our team of qualified pedagogical staff personally collects the children from the nearby primary schools, ensuring they arrive safely and confidently. At BSO De Verwondering children have all the space they need to be themselves. We provide a homely atmosphere in which they can relax after a busy school day, but also stay active if they wish. Our rooms are furnished with natural materials and so-called ‘loose parts’ that allow children to build, create and discover on their own. Sustainability and self-development are key: we teach children, through play, how to deal with materials, each other and the world around them. After school we start calmly with a friendly chat and free play. There is then time for joint activities such as crafts, cooking, sports and games or a visit to the garden. We tailor the programme every day to the wishes and energy levels of the children; nothing is compulsory, almost everything is possible. There is also plenty of room for them to fill their free time as they choose. In between we serve healthy snacks and drinks and we end the day in a relaxed way until parents come to collect their child. In short, at BSO De Verwondering children find a safe, warm place where they can be who they are and where they are happy to come.
