Welcome to Fantasieland Overtoom Daycare, a homely location in the heart of vibrant Amsterdam-West. We provide care for up to 12 children aged 0 to 4 years in one vertical group. This means babies, toddlers and preschoolers play, learn and grow together under the guidance of 2 to 3 dedicated, caring pedagogical staff members. Our small scale creates calm, overview and lots of personal attention. Everything we do revolves around imagination and creativity. We believe every child has unique qualities and that learning through play is the most beautiful way to discover the world. In a safe and familiar environment, children have all the space to fantasize, explore and experience. We regularly play outside in our own garden or at nearby playgrounds, allowing children to run, climb and discover. During these outdoor moments we not only stimulate motor development, but also curiosity about nature. Educational activities are a fixed part of our day. We work with themes that connect to the children's world of experience, using stories, songs and games. Language development receives extra attention: we read aloud, sing together and talk a lot with the children. Because we have a vertical group, the youngest learn from the oldest and the oldest practice their caring skills. This way all children develop social skills and a close group atmosphere emerges. We value rest and regularity. There is a separate sleeping room where children can sleep when they need it. The daily schedule is flexible and follows the natural rhythms of young children. Parents can choose half or full days of care, depending on what suits the family best. We communicate openly and personally with parents, keeping everyone informed about their child's development and well-being. Fantasieland Overtoom Daycare has been officially registered since April 24, 2024 and is supervised by the GGD Amsterdam. We meet all national quality requirements, allowing parents to apply for childcare allowance. Our location is small, cozy and full of love for children.
