Esmarke

Day-care centre De Esmarke has been a trusted place in our neighbourhood for many years, run by a sweet, enthusiastic and active team. The bright spaces literally give children room to be themselves. Guided by the belief that every child is unique, each child is allowed to develop at his or her own pace. Every day is a playful journey of discovery: fun activities, outdoor play, gym classes at the primary school and exploring the adjacent forest. We make sure that every child – and their parents – feels the warmth and safety of a home away from home. Our location works closely with the neighbouring primary school and a local sports club. We regularly use the school gym to exercise and play sports together with the first-year pupils. In addition, we take trips to the forest right next to us, so the children can experience nature up close. De Esmarke is part of an Integral Child Centre, ensuring a smooth transition between childcare and education. We use a vertical group structure: children aged 0 to 4 are together in one group. This encourages the development of the youngest through the example set by the older children and gives the toddlers the chance to learn to be caring and responsible. Our team guides each child individually, so everyone feels safe and valued. Together with parents, we create a familiar environment where children can grow and flourish.
