Welcome to daycare centre 2Eekhoorns, located in the quiet and child-friendly Hoogeland neighbourhood in Naaldwijk. We provide care for children aged 0 to 4 in a warm, homely environment where play and discovery are central. Our location features spacious, bright group areas with large windows and plenty of natural light. The French doors open directly onto our own green outdoor space, where children can play safely and explore nature. We work with a vertical group, where children of different ages play and learn together. In addition, we have three baby groups and two toddler groups, allowing us to tailor care and activities to each child's developmental stage. Our pedagogical staff are ready to give every child the attention and guidance they need. A special highlight at our location is the water feature in the garden. In nice weather, children can splash around and sail toy boats. We believe it is important for children to be introduced to nature and sustainability at an early age. That’s why we tend our vegetable garden together and harvest our own vegetables, such as cherry tomatoes. This way, children learn where food comes from and how plants grow. We regularly take the children on outings. We visit the greenhouse to pick fresh fruit and vegetables, the riding school, petting zoo and toddler theatre. We also often visit Pieter van Foreest Care Centre. The encounters between young and old are particularly valuable and bring joy to both children and residents. Daycare centre 2Eekhoorns is a member of the WNTweb (Westland Nature and Technology Network). Together with the children, we explore nature and get them excited about technology and sustainability from an early age. We regularly borrow themed boxes from the library to vary and enrich our activities. We follow the healthy nutrition policy of childcare organisation 2Samen. Children receive a hot meal and healthy snacks daily. We show that healthy food can also be delicious. Our location is open Monday to Friday from 07:00 to 18:00.
