EigenWijs Wateringen

Welcome to EigenWijs Wateringen, our small-scale daycare center located in the characteristic Nieuw Zuiderveld farmhouse at Heulweg 34 in Wateringen. In this beautiful, forested environment, we provide care for up to 32 children aged 0 to 4 years, divided into two horizontal groups. At EigenWijs Wateringen, the natural development of children is central. Our pedagogical staff create daily special activities aligned with the EigenWijs Reggio approach. We believe every child has unique talents and provide space for these to develop. Our activities focus on nature, creativity, and movement. Children can participate in toddler gym, music lessons with our regular music teacher Gerie, yoga, and dance. We have our own vegetable garden where children learn about fruits and vegetables, and even our own apple and pear tree! We regularly visit the Care Farm, where children water plants and feed chickens together with visitors. Our outdoor space is safely designed according to Dutch safety standards and invites exploration and play. We go outside every day, as outdoor play is an essential part of our vision for natural development. EigenWijs Wateringen has the 'Green Childcare' certification, underlining our commitment to nature experience and sustainability. As a parent, you can count on a trusted environment where your child can be themselves. We work with a fixed, close-knit team of qualified pedagogical staff who are ready for your child with great enthusiasm. Our daycare center is open 52 weeks a year from 07:00 to 18:00.
