Eigenwijs

Welcome to Eigenwijs, our daycare center located at Natersweg 7 in Rotterdam. We provide a homely and safe environment where children aged 0 to 4 can develop at their own pace. Our small-scale character ensures personal attention and a familiar atmosphere. At Eigenwijs, we follow a clear daily rhythm with rest and regularity at its core. The youngest children start the day with a communal breakfast, after which we engage in fun and educational activities. We sing songs, read from picture books, and craft with various materials. Toddlers work with the VVE program Uk & Puk, where we playfully work on language development and social skills. Our spacious indoor garden invites outdoor play. With a large sandbox, green play corners, and movement equipment, children can enjoy themselves every day. In bad weather, we use our large central indoor play hall, where we do movement games that are good for gross motor development. For the youngest ones, we have separate baby groups where they can sleep and play in peace. We change the children here and provide bottle feeding according to the home routine. We also have separate sleeping rooms for toddler groups where children can rest wonderfully after lunch. Our pedagogical staff are ready with loving care and attention. Together with parents, we ensure that every child feels seen and valued. We work closely with parents and keep them informed about their child's development. At Eigenwijs, we believe it's important that children can develop into independent individuals. We provide a safe base where children have the space to discover, play, and grow in their own unique way.
