Eigen&Wijzer Voorschool DKC De IJsbreker is located at Chrysantenstraat 28 in the Buiksloterham district of Amsterdam-Noord. From our pedagogical vision, we provide developmental childcare for children aged 0-4. Professional pedagogical staff work child-centered and offer activities that align with the child's development and needs. Development in language, speech, thinking, motor skills, play, and social-emotional skills is stimulated playfully. Our group spaces with cozy corners are equipped with challenging play materials, encouraging children to play and discover by doing. During outdoor play, imagination and interest are further stimulated. We also use the play hall to give children the joy of movement. Within the child center, we collaborate with education and align themes. This way, every child is prepared for the transition to Dalton education at age four and is warmly welcomed to the after-school care within the DKC.
