Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer IKC Sint Ludgerus, located at Weverswei 4A in the heart of Workum. We are proud to be part of Eigen&Wijzer Friesland B.V. and provide high-quality childcare for children aged 0 to 4 years within this Integral Child Center (IKC). Our location works closely with St. Ludgerus Primary School, allowing children to seamlessly transition from toddler care to primary education. Our focus is on small-scale care and personal attention. Our experienced pedagogical staff create a safe and challenging environment where every child can be themselves and develop at their own pace. We believe that every child is unique and has a natural drive to learn and grow. Our approach is child-centered, meaning we tailor activities and guidance to the interests and needs of each individual child. Language development is a key priority for us. We offer bilingual preschool education, where both Dutch and Frisian play a natural role in daily activities. Children are encouraged to develop their language skills through stories, songs, and interactive games. This early bilingual education contributes to rich language development and a broad cultural foundation. Our toddler care is organized in horizontal groups, bringing together children of similar ages. This allows us to work specifically on age-appropriate developmental goals. We offer flexible childcare options, including half-days, to meet the varying needs of families in Workum and the surrounding area. As part of the IKC, our children benefit from the extensive facilities of the school building and its immediate surroundings. We utilize the play areas and can make use of the outdoor area in good weather. Our location is easily accessible and situated directly next to the swimming pool, sports hall, and sports fields, offering possibilities for future activities.
