Eigen&Wijzer BSO JKC De Wiekslag

Eigen&Wijzer After-School Care JKC De Wiekslag is located at Dwarswyk 346 in Drachten and forms part of the Jenaplan Child Centre De Wiekslag. In close partnership with the school we provide before-school, lunchtime and after-school care for children aged 4 to 12. All care takes place inside the school building, allowing children to stay in a familiar environment and move smoothly from lessons to care. Our after-school care has room for up to 32 children. We are proud to offer a calm yet challenging place where children can play, relax and discover new things after an intensive school day. Activities are aligned with the Jenaplan vision of the child centre: living, working, playing and celebrating together. We make full use of the spacious indoor and outdoor areas of the child centre. Parents can use before-school care, lunchtime care (provided by the school team) and after-school care. Care is also available during school holidays and study days. Communication runs through Social Schools, the school app in which the after-school care also shares messages, photos and practical information. This keeps parents constantly informed about what their child is experiencing. At this location Eigen&Wijzer works intensively with the group leaders and the management of JKC De Wiekslag. Thanks to this close cooperation, children experience one continuous day in which education and care seamlessly connect.
