Eigen&Wijzer BSO IKC Sint Michaël Schritsen

Eigen&Wijzer BSO IKC Sint Michaël, located at Schritsen 52 in Harlingen, is the place where children aged 7 to 13 can feel safe, challenged and happy after school. Together with Sint Michaël primary school we form one Integrated Child Centre (IKC). This means that school and childcare operate as one team, guided by a shared vision: every child is unique and deserves the space to learn, experience and gradually become an active member of society. Our after-school care is designed to offer children rest, structure, space and respect. We open our doors right after school, and we are also there on teacher training days and during every school holiday. Children can unwind, play freely in the garden, join creative craft sessions, read together in our cosy reading corner or take part in sports and movement activities. We consciously apply child participation: children help shape the programme, practise negotiation, listen to one another and are encouraged to voice their own ideas. In this way they not only grow in self-confidence but also in cooperation and responsibility. During holidays we run our Holiday Madness programme: a varied mix of outings, workshops and relaxation. Think of nature treasure hunts, sports clinics, creative projects or visits to fun places in the region. Everything is aimed at letting children discover new things while thoroughly enjoying their free time. Our qualified pedagogical staff are ready every day with attention, a listening ear and a smile.
