Eigen&Wijzer BSO IKC Mgr. Scholtens

Welcome to Eigen&Wijzer BSO IKC Mgr. Scholtens, located on the ground floor of the Integral Child Centre at Wilhelminastraat 18 in Wolvega. We provide after-school care for up to 33 children aged 4 to 13. As part of the nationwide Eigen&Wijzer organisation – with 53 locations and over 2,500 childcare places – we work every day from the belief that every child is unique and has a natural drive to develop. Our pedagogical staff ensure that children can actively relax after school. We offer a varied programme in which we stimulate each child’s talents. The children themselves are involved in putting together the weekly schedule: they can indicate what they enjoy, which outings they would like to go on, and whether workshops by external parties can be organised. Of course, there is also plenty of room for free play with friends, relaxation and a healthy snack with a drink. Because our BSO is located in the same building as the Jenaplan primary school Mgr. Scholtensschool, there is a seamless transition between school and childcare. The children already know the location and the faces, so it is not a big step for them to come to us after school. Together with the teachers and other professionals within the Integral Child Centre, we form one coherent care system focused on the development of every child. Our generous opening hours – from 7:00 to 18:30 – offer flexibility for parents. We work in a homely, safe environment with a large garden where children can romp, explore and unwind. Being yourself and growing wiser: that is what we strive for every day.
